it's safe, the water, the long
calm
river. we think
we can just
jump in
and swim to the other
side
or down
as far as we want.
the sun is out,
above is the beatific
blue sky.
we have no
idea
of the power and swiftness
that lies
below.
it doesn't take long
before
we realize
that we are in over our
heads.
