the chicken in me

i fell

off a ladder and onto

a roof

then onto the ground

from a height

of about

twenty-five feet

i've been

leery of heights, so when

she suggested

that we go

sky diving

in Orange County i began

to sweat

and tremble.

i asked her why?

why do you want to jump

out of a plane?

because it's, fun she said.

we need to

do more fun things.

we're only alive once,

so let's

live it to the fullest.
