stealthily tip toeing to the curb

once

i take my pants off,

at home,

of course, they usually

don't go back on

until the next day.

i throw them

onto a chair,

or toss them up the stairs

discarding them for tomorrows

wardrobe

selection but

keeping them

in the rotation.

but this means that on

a Sunday night

i'll be taking the trash out

to the curb

in the dead of night,

stealthily tiptoeing

in my socks

and underwear.
