we're waiting
for his headstone to go up,
so that we
can visit his grave.
so that we can stand there
and say something,
like, there it is.
there he is.
what a great view he
has from this
hilly site.
i don't see tears in this
scenario, or
sadness, no wringing of
hands will take place
on this sunny
or rainy day where Presidents
have been laid,
and maybe, just
maybe the inscription
will have his correct age.
