smuggling Bibles
my brother,
the minister used to smuggle
Bibles
into China
back in the 90's.
but then he'd say
don't tell anyone we're
doing this.
i'd say okay,
and then
tell everyone anyway,
proud
of his fearless faith.
we hope
to get him out of prison
soon.

lion eats zookeeper
a pair of white socks with holes
ready for kids
long overdue for confession
two of your biggest fears
some stayed, some died, some moved on
they say it's your birthday
with apologies to david ignatow
the rising tide
a change is gonna come
embracing winter
the court jester
it's too nice out to stay in
a single flower
camping will bring us closer together
opening the third eye
adrift in Portland Oregon
your true self
the exit wound
in the white room
but we love it here
i wanted Dr. House, but got Dr. Suess instead
don't worry, they'll make more
question mark and the mysterians
we love you, but you're fired
the eulogy
when things bite you
image is everything
i can help you if you ask
bottled water
beauty from a distance
the air is filled with violin strings
the firewood men
the house on fire up the street
how dare you express and opinion that doesn't agre...
making butter overnight
playing solitaire while waiting for Shirley
when dogs run free
promises promises
they know everything there is to know about me
maybe why the cake failed
the rescue dog
wired up
there was no one there, but you
political science then breakfast
i miss eating pancakes
the scripted world we live in
i think we're close to Halloween
the burial
beware of happy people
the wig store on King Street
what happens next
keep your hands to yourself
leaving and arriving
this one time in band camp
clicking all day on click bait
open borders and no doors on the house
inspired by the VP's speeches
another Batman movie?
slow down, there's a cop
dear so and so, i'm sorry
tracing our roots
the owl before dark
can't stop what's coming
sweet terms of endearment
the unregistered nurse
i read the news today, oh boy
the enormous word salad continued
air is good
carry on
here's the plan
holy ground
my feet will find them
feel free to go
before subtraction begins
take two of these and call me in the morning
different forms of happiness
the unemployment line
not a blonde in the bunch
knitting frenzy
Oprah will tell us what to do
starting over again
rarely am i bored with you
the last leaf on the tree
it's you again
minimum skills
they never give the ring back
plans for the future
it was all there in her phone
hope joy and opportunity
where to put mom
the fifteen cent nutty buddy bar
fame and fortune
the yellow tree
now you get it
every hair in place
she wanted a million dollar policy
the friendly garbageman
a reduction in worry
water therapy
