to a child, is an ice-cream
cone,
a lollipop,
a ride
on the carousel.
it's a snow
day
from school.
a ride
on a pony,
a new ball, a new
pair
of tennis shoes.
but now,
it's different,
and yet still
simple
to define.
a good sleep perhaps,
or a fine meal,
maybe
a tall glass of wine.
or a waiting
book
in your lap,
legs reclined.
but you too
comes to mind.
