insurance man came
over to the house
on a hot
July day.
i rolled
up my sleeve for him
as he drew
blood
for the policy.
i passed out
and fell to the floor
and woke
up with my wife
standing over me laughing.
saying
things like
and you call yourself
a man.
now get up and sign
on the dotted
line.
