for wedding rings.
engagement rings
to be precise.
agonizing about what size,
what shape,
gold or silver,
what type of stone,
pear or round,
maybe a multiple setting
style.
can one put a price
on true love?
but then the thought occurred
to me,
that what if this is
another costly
mistake.
so i don't go cheap, but
i don't
go crazy either at Tiffany's,
putting the house
up for collateral.
i find a safe middle ground.
a price i can
absorb
when the ship inevitably
sinks.
