going on in the back yard.
the bird
feeder
is the 1st national bank,
it appears.
squirrels
and chipmunks,
raccoons
with their masks on.
birds of every feather
are out there,
banging
on the tin roof, swinging
the box
back and forth
spilling the gold of seed.
are they like us?
sort of.
depends on where
you grew up,
i suppose.
