bring my walking shoes
and a pocket of cash
to see me through the week.
walk the park, peruse
the met.
get a pastrami sandwich
at Katz's on
orchard avenue.
maybe go to Rockefeller
center, see the big tree.
watch the skaters.
broadway, Greenwich village,
battery park.
hell's kitchen, why not?
there's so much I've yet to see.
Chinatown, tribecca, breakfast
at bubby's.
maybe if i beg her to come along,
she'll say yes, and finally forgive me.
