i take a vote.
tree or no tree this year?
i say no.
then i say yes.
it's really up to me, but
i can't decide.
a part of me says go for it.
another part
says no way,
it'll just bring back bad memories
from last year
and the year before that.
forget the tree.
just put a string of lights out
on the buffet like
you used to do.
get the snow globe out.
the little reindeers.
that's plenty. maybe throw
a wreathe
on the door.
a few red candles.
where is that wreathe?
