the leader of the band
began to make
a political
speech.
going on and on and on
about
what he felt the country
should believe
and do.
preaching from his pulpit
to a stuck
group who came for the music
not this.
some clapped, some booed.
i wondered
as i drove away,
how many of his
old albums, cassettes and cd's
could i sell on e-bay when
i got home.
