is when they seem to come out
of the woods,
not raccoons, or foxes,
or deer,
or rabbits.
no it's the thieves,
the hooded
crew
breaking into cars
and homes,
sheds,
stealing everything from
tires
and money,
boats
and tools.
anything not nailed down,
and sometimes
those things too.
they're very deft though,
quiet as mice,
slithering
through
the cold night.
there they go on the ring
cameras,
shadows,
unrecognizable,
only to return tomorrow
to be on
another video.
