i can't find my blue bin

i don't recycle,

i'm the talk of the neighborhood.

i'm shunned.

never invited

to any block parties,

or picnics.

they point at me as i drive

my 8 cylinder

truck.

they shake their heads

at my

lack of concern

for the environment.

they believe that i don't care

about turtles

and whales,

and the next generation

growing

up to inhale

the pollution.

but i do care.

just not all the time.
