liked to clap too long
when a performance
ends and they take
their bow.
whether
a musical
or play,
or some sort of on stage
act.
i'm more of a light
tapper
against my knee
or leg.
i don't stand up and scream
or whistle,
or yell out bravo
and encore,
or hold up
a lit match.
even if i loved it.
i just want to go home now.
exit, stage left.
