but we need a common sense
class too
when in grade school.
how to look both
ways before crossing,
how to turn
off your phone when
there's a human being talking
to you.
we need to learn how
to scramble eggs,
and change a tire.
balance a check book.
turn the oven on,
and turn it off. we need
to learn how to do laundry.
to wash, and dry,
then fold.
we need to eat with our
mouths closed.
we need a year of charm
school,
on how to behave,
how to be honest and polite,
how to respect your elders
before you too grow old.
