it's rare

to see a person just looking

out a window

these days.

doing nothing

but staring out,

deep in thought,

elbows on

the still,

eyes towards clouds, or

the street below.

it's hard to find

a face

calm

and relaxed just taking

in the view.

everyone is busy now,

with

themselves,

their lives, their phones.

not a moment

of peace.

Hopper would have

a hard time

finding

subjects these days

to put on canvas.
