surprise snow

to wake

up to snow is a wonder

if there

is nowhere

you need to be

or go.

it's been so long

since

we've had such an

overnight

blanket

of white.

a foot deep at least.

let's sit by the window

for a while

and watch

it come down,

then

we'll put our boots on,

our winter

coats, our gloves,

our hats,

grab

our shovels

and head out.
