sits
all day,
carving, splitting,
shaving,
creating something
out of nothing.
a bowl,
a dish
an ashtray,
a table, perhaps.
then he takes it to
the fair
and sits behind
his work.
he puts a sign up
to tell the world,
this is what i made.
