i see that
the dog makes dowith one
leg,
van Gogh with one ear.
the cat with one eye,
the fox
without a tail.
even the wingless bird
finds a way
to get along
and have a life.
it was encouraging
to see,
as i listened to you
cry about
your broken nail.
