no bracelet, no watch.
no necklace
with a cross.
no earring
that dangles from my
ear.
nothing in my nose,
no piercings,
no tattoos above
or below
my clothes. i'm
as mid century modern
as one can get.
vanilla through
and through.
going out, pretty much
the way i came in.
