is it time
to cash in and find a place
to ride
out the waves,
the sun.
to breeze through
the later
years,
without a care.
no longer working,
under some self imposed
gun.
is it time,
to call it a day and go
gently into that good
night.
sleep in, sleep late.
perhaps soon but
not yet.
not even close.
but i'll know when
the time is right.
