three closets full

i have to get rid of some of these

clothes.

why in the ham sandwich

do i have so many shoes and shirts,

socks and pants?

three dressers full.

three closets stuffed. on hangars

suits

i never wear.

there's enough clothes in here

to open a store.

not to mention the linen closet.

the towels,

the wash cloths.

the sheets.

i have one bed and six sets of sheets.

most of them a shade

of blue.

if i never bought another thing,

i think, while driving

to Nordstrom's,

i'd be well dressed until i reach

a hundred.
