the monster
as a child
you worried
that there might be
a monster
under your bed,
but as you got
older
you often wondered
if the monster
was lying beside
you, instead.
she was.

best to be prepared
if we were in salem
package on the porch
the perfectionist
the appetite
that says it all
dropping the mike
weeds
pass the butter
almost there
blood out of a turnip
let's go for a ride cowboy
the royalty check
from door to the corner
the lesson
a piece of glass
yoga pants
living in the now
where's my keys
into another spring
the yard stone
maybe
wade through
the fall
a silver glow upon us
outside the door
are you happy
the monster
triple scoop
a short stay
phantom tears
nowhere left to stand
the game
vacations
sugary people
we called it home
move on, make more
the magician
the boardwalk
sea glass
the next storm
ugly and sad
to steal a loaf of bread
the short line
dark lovers
who is to blame
her loose thread
the story of your life
roll up your sleeves
small thinking
when the snow fell
the arrival of summer
uncommon sense
sleep well
before and after
when life falls apart
the world is green again
jobless
the ten cent sin
i need that
kindess surprises me
the long ride
family fun
clean up on aisle six
i could be so much more
we all know
for a rainy day
believing in monsters
online shopping
the empty pews
off the grid
the five o'clock shadow
under the boardwalk
life of a different kind
mustard yellow
what are you reading?
what size do you wear?
what remains
as i go on my way
beside the fire
conspiracy
the blue bird
what? i can't hear you
the corona date
be a cowboy and buy me a steak
can i get an Amen to that?
the plaid lunch box
let's talk about the weather
pink
i've had that happen, she says
no forgiveness
do you remember when you
maybe it's old age
you should have planned ahead
everything is ahead of you
the blue horn
father smith at the pawn shop
plant your seeds in me
less than imagined
i hate facebook
coming towards you
a thousand goodbyes
the window salesman
on a burro in san diego
happy hour
the voice mail message
like they never happened
not today
the living are hungry
black with green eyes
we used to talk
hanging clothes on the line
fact checker
we're almost there
it feels like tuesday
a line of ants
tension in the air
how the mighty have fallen
you miss nothing
small doses of happiness
shop local, yo
achoo
waiting on the next wave
the mid life crisis
three weeks in Tahoe
different books
survival
thunder iinside and out
