after one debacle after
another
I used to say i'd
never
ever
not in a million years,
get married again.

I swore
on my son's head
on everything sacred that
I believed in
that i'd never
stand next to someone
with goo goo eyes
and say, I do.

yeah.
right.
then I did.
and what a nightmare
that was.

but this time,
as God is my witness,
I put my
hand on the Holy Bible,
I swear
to you, once more, that
this time around
I promise to never
do the same stupid
idiotic mistake again.

may lightning strike me
where I stand,
well where i'm sitting
right now.

I've learned my
lesson.
the hard hard way.
listen to your gut
brothers and sisters.
can I get an amen
to that?
