when the phone rings at two
or three
in the morning.
it can only be that someone
close
to you has died.
or it's a telemarketer
in another
time zone
trying to sell you health
insurance,
or reduce the rate
on your credit cards.
death at times would be
preferable
when this occurs,
though
there's no one I currently
wish that upon,
not recently at least, but
maybe
in the bye and bye.
