I went to Tiffany's to
have breakfast, but the doors
were closed.
locked tight.
I could see all the diamonds,
the silver
the gold
lying still and shiny
beneath
their glass cases.
not a single hand to hold
or wear them in sight.
life standing still.
few are saying yes, or no,
I do,
I will. so I went across
the street to
target, still open.
six feet apart, but you can
have all the things you
think you need,
you can have your fill.
