cats
and dogs,
there are rescue people too.
the downtrodden,
the unlucky,
the lazy
and lost.
the perpetually blue.
they have that puppy dog
look in
their eyes when they
knock at the door
and sigh.
they put their hat out
for help,
or ask if you have room
for one more.
