maybe a necklace,
or bracelet.
but when does too much
occur,
when does
the cry for attention
become obvious
and it looks like
you travel with the carnival,
or have
joined the circus?
is it the nose ring,
the ears
loaded with metal pins,
each finger
with a band,
the belly button holding
a sapphire.
the tongue pierced with what
looks like
a fishing lure?
what are you trying to tell
the world
