wise advice
be sure
to hydrate yourself when
you go
out today,
the barista tells me
as he hands
me my coffee.
he's in
med school,
i think.
so i take his advice,
having never
known
to drink
water when i'm thirsty
or it's been
summertime.

frozen tundra pizza
just one will do
lost in Moscow
a flying fig
another shot of Novocain please
between here and there
call for a good time
he never beat us
too much love
the Russian teacups
willing to negotiate
the polka dot dress
you knew what he wasn't
young whippersnappers next store
that girl was on fire
all over now baby blue
legacy in a landfill
i hate you Microsoft
another package on the stoop
the big green chair on the curb
out the other side
trying to hold a cat
no sign of anyone else ever living here
the card game at Sam's
lobster tails were his favorite apparently
statistically speaking
the dog vacuum
Norman in the back row of the class
political table settings
but who will vacuum our carpet
we will learn our lines
how do you mend a broken heart?
ten pins
i have no idea what this poem means
the blurred years
let's have another day, please
i was nine years old at the time
out the back window
The Sunrise Senior Home
i don't sweat, i glisten
finding the cheapest gas
she wants to change her name
three hundred photos of food
they flew the coop
ladies of the night in old DC
the neighborhood nurse
the legacy news
it's hard to stop what you've started
the new regime
man overboard
a long line to what?
Lucky Charms
what should we protest today Jimmy?
stuck in between
the tight rope walker
fainting
who needs stairs?
a cold plate of food
i'll unthink this through
breakfast in the heat
hippie mythology
love birds
on the tip of my tongue
i misjudged you
sugar lips
running for the trash truck
where do you think you're going, bub?
raise your left hand for stop
wise advice
a little misunderstanding
home in time for dinner
preparing for the worst of times
sending a message
at least not yet
changing the channel
people i never heard of
the red wagon
the thin blue line
i'm being followed
drinking from a hose
the fortune teller
the red rooster
has time won?
the girl from Ipanema
saying and doing stupid things
don't come around here anymore
follow the light
inside out
i'll get back to you on that
the tattoo removal parlor
Moe at the Mayo clinic
an eon ago
what does he possibly see in her?
can we borrow some of your bombs?
early Christmas shopping in LA
the joyful demise
sometimes they wave
doing fine thank you
her safe word was blueberry
35 and in the basement
