begs for light, for a chair,
a rug
centered in the middle.
it talks to you
as you stand
there in the emptiness
of walls
and hard floor.
it asks
you to make it
yours.
to bring it life. who
lived here
before won't mind.
they're curious too
as to what
this space could be.
sometimes you may hear
them
walking
around at night.
