there was an enormous
burgundy curtain that was
slowly pulled open
as the show began and the
lights went down.
we had popcorn and candy,
sodas as we settled in.
we'd spend the entire
Saturday in those hard
seats with the air condition
blowing down.
it was heaven.
nothing quite like it
has ever been found.
