my mother would say,

me her cigar box
full of them from
years gone by.
you never know,
what fits today might
not fit tomorrow,
maybe you've lost
your taste for green,
or a style that's passed
by. be prepared, honey,
mark the date on them.
and hope you can return
things, before the time
expires.
