my neighbor's old truck
cranking
its engine, unable
to start,
coughing
and sputtering,
i know that in about
two minutes
there'll be a knock at the door.
it's winter after all.
but i have
the jumper cables
ready and my
boots and gloves on.
i may buy him a new
battery
for Christmas.
