people disappear
all the time.
they just go, move away.
for one reason
or another.
a marriage gone bad,
financial troubles,
or just wanting
better weather.
they pack up their
belongings
and drive south,
or west
and make a life there.
they cut
all ties,
leave everything
and everyone they ever
knew behind.
you wonder
what happened to them
as the years go by.
they don't
return your calls,
there's no forwarding
address,
no texts,
nothing.
just poof
and they're gone.
so long.
