couple in front of me is
magically
still in love, they have
what nearly everyone
i know wants.
i can see it in their eyes.
the way,
he puts his arm
around her,
and she touches his
knee
as they find a seat
on the train.
he takes his hat
off
responding to her
nod, she smiles.
i wish i could capture
them in photograph,
but i'd never
betray such holy ground.
