telling the story

a story is sometimes
just that, a story told
over and over again
until there are only
embellishments, not
facts. it's better that
way, to spice it up,
to make the plot
juicy, the theme eternal,
to make the hero more
heroic, the villian
more evil, the love
interest more loving.
and finally to make
the dog, less barking
and smart enough
to go get help.
