it would be nice
to turn on the news and have
the reporter
throw up his or her
hands and declare that
nothing happened today.
nothing.
so what we're going to do
is show you
a live
feed of the ocean
with gulls in the air
while palm trees sway.
we'll show you seals and dolphins,
waves lapping the long
white sandy shore.
no words, no music.
no boring editorials,
just the quiet of the world
when
all is well.
