more plumbers,
more electricians, skilled
carpenters
and roofers,
painters and drywall
workers.
we need men to lay tar
on the roads
to build
with wood and brick,
steel.
we need someone
to drive
the trucks,
the cranes, the back hoes.
we need
architects
and planners.
but the young want to take
the easy way out,
sitting behind
a desk
with soft hands
and manicured nails,
turning into dough.
