skinny
back then.
our ribs showed,
the bones
in our
back,
our legs were spindly,
our
arms
lean, but strong.
we could run
all day in
the street,
in the parks and
fields.
but we ate too,
we gorged
ourselves on home
cooked
meals,
we were sticks
with bellies full.
i look out the window
now
at the playground
but it's
different,
the world has changed,
so has
the food.
