is a day on the road,
to work
or to the market
without
a few moments of road
rage.
the anger,
the red faces, the cursing,
is part of the drive.
bumper
to bumper,
the racing to get to
the next light.
i try to hug the right
lane and
be prompt at the green
light.
i'm no longer interested
in getting
out of the car
in this weather, at this age,
to confront the man
or women,
who has their fists
balled and are waving
a metal pipe.
