in some
old people's eyes.
a look of peace
and contentment,
nothing phases them anymore.
little raises
their blood pressure.
they've seen it all.
a few world wars,
terrorism,
chaos and what not.
crime and divorce,
poverty
and bad health.
they've been there
and done that.
you can't rattle them.
they know that all of this
insanity is normal,
and will pass,
before it's time for more.
they seem amused by
it all.
not losing a minute of sleep
over a world
gone wild.
