will box these books and carry
them out
to the truck
or curb.
maybe they'll sift through them
and take
one for themselves.
maybe finding
Catcher In the Rye,
and thinking,
i've heard of that.
but most
will curse the heavy
load
they carry from each shelf,
down
the stairs,
up the stairs.
wondering
why.
why so many books.
who reads
anymore?
such a strange person.
