friends forever,
but
it's too far,this place. this destination
where
she lives.
there is no middle,
no
point
in a rendezvous,
the phone
will have to do.
we're too old to travel
now.
to set
in our ways,
held
by the comfort
of our homes,
by the concerns of weather,
of traffic,
of the world
at large,
it's easier to just stay.
