there's
a man
outside the house.
all day long.
he's wearing a dark suit
and an old
hat.
i think they call it
a fedora.
he's neatly dressed.
a white
shirt, a dark tie.
his black
shoes have been shined.
i see him looking at
his watch,
which makes me
look at mine.
i wave to him from
the kitchen
window.
he raises his hand
in response.
i really don't have time
for this,
and i hope that he's
gone when i get home.
