turning over the pillow

i see the imprint

of her face

on my pillow.

lipstick, mascara,

blush,

and a variety of other

types

of make up.

it's the exact image

of her face,

eyes, lips,

cheeks, etc.,

but pressed against

my white pillow case.

quickly

i turn it over to the clean

side and wonder 

what she really

looks like.
