some time to scrape the gum
off of my
shoe.
once bright pink
and soft,
now a solid grey
cold wad
of goo.
i get out the scissors
and an old
knife,
a razor blade,
some solvent
and a rag.
it's been a long time
coming, but
it's time
to get rid of you.
