old school doctor

i wish i had a real

doctor,

someone i can reach on the phone

at all hours.

someone that

will come to the house,

and sit

by my bed

while i ice down a fever,

or sneeze.

someone who cares,

someone

who listens

when i tell them

where it hurts.

someone with

a little black bag

with a red cross

on it.

i want a doctor like that,

just like the ones

on tv.
