when you visit the zoo,
you feel sorry them,
seeing the lions
and monkey,
all the wild animals
in their cages, locked away,
but then
you wonder if they don't
have the best
of it.
food and water, shelter.
doctors on site.
another beast to mate.
you start to ponder
who's better off
what with all you have to do
to keep things
going, to get through
another day.
