no green thumb

i can't say that i have

a green thumb.

i'm not good at growing things,

or keeping

them alive,

watered,

weeded, turned

towards the sun.

once they're cut

and in a vase, or dirt pot,

or rising from

the ground,

they're on their own,

just like me

when i was born.
